Granny Smith Apple Pie has seven shops in Japan. Their apple pies are based on North American pie recipes, and are based on the concept of "grandma's taste." Granny Smith specializes in four varieties of apple pies: Classic Rum Raisin, England Custard, French D'Mandes, and Dutch Crumble. I have very vivid memories of homemade apple pies going back to my childhood. So, when I went to Nishinomiya Gardens in Nishinomiya City and saw the Granny Smith store I just had to try out one of their apple pies! I waited in line for more than 45 minutes before being seated. When I looked at the menu there were so many choices to choose from, and each one looked very delicious! After pondering for nearly 7 minutes over the menu I chose the French D'Mandes with raspberry sauce and vanilla ice cream, and a cup of coffee. The apple pie was definitely scrumptious! Granny Smith also has takeout items. But, they usually sell out very fast.
