Awaji Island: The Awajishima Onion-Kitchen

Any foreign visitor to Awaji Island should go to the Awajishima Onion Kitchen located at the southern most part of the island. The views here are fantastic. But the main reason for coming here are the burgers. The beef, the tomatoes in the sauce, and the onions are locally produced. When I arrived, their was a long line. Although I did not see an English menu; the large menu board had pictures with prices and was easy to understand. The restaurant area has seating inside and outside. I probably waited about 30 minutes before I could place my order. However, it was worth the wait. I ordered the Awajishima Onion Beef Burger with french fries and onion rings. I was not disappointed. The Awajishima Burger was very different from burgers I had eaten in the past.
